Now that we, the Hardest Working Image Builders On RATSA, finally finished all our two-hour, in-class, handwritten essay exams, we're all set to ease you into this, the latest edition of "Ask FOC Dorothy." Since Our Miss Hayes last proffered a multitude of her professional opinions your way, she's experienced a few life-affirming changes and, well...maybe we should let her tell you all about it. And she will.

FOC Dorothy sez: "So much has happened since the last time I checked out my mail -- some good things and some not-so-hot stuff, too. Roger finally got his cast off. That was great and I was really happy for him until we got back to the apartment and he took a header down the stairs. What I don't understand is why he was wearing my stiletto heels when I found him. Hmmmm...Maybe I should consult one of my Psych books. Or just think about everything for a while. That sounds like a plan. On the flipside, RJ finished, um, recuperating and he went back to Llanview. *sigh* I miss those "jam sessions" we used to have, the ones that had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with jazz. But before he left, RJ introduced me to his friend Javier Perez. RJ said Javier just got out of jail, which bothered me at first, but after I got to know him a little better -- like the time when I surprised him coming out of the shower -- I really liked him. Javier's staying with Roger and me now (I'm "counseling" him). It's a big help having him around since both Roger's arms got broken recently. I'm not sure how it happened (Roger's not talking), but I thought it was weird when Javier told me he wasn't sharing Roger's room anymore. We only have a two-room loft, so I guess he'll have to sleep in my room now. But we're just going to be friends. I guess I'll get to the letters."

Dear Dorothy:
Before you came to town, I rented a place from Dorian. It was in the thick of some odd little wooded patch within jogging distance of the greater metropolitan Llanview area and I thought it was secluded enough for me to drop my flowy, linen-y dresses and bathe in the buff in this oh-so convenient pond that bubbled up out of nowhere. For a while, I had both Joey Buchanan and Cord Roberts on a string and everything was just peachy. Then, it all went downhill and I lost everything -- my palatial wooded estate, my flowing linens, my fake otherworldly, ethereal aura. I want it back, although I can do without Cord's Brillo-pad hairdo and Joey's post-jogging sweaty patina. I'm great at impersonations and I think that's where my future lies. What do you think? Celine Dion's pretty popular right now. If I take singing lessons and drop about 40 pounds (I weigh 120), I think I could be dropping my flaxen sundresses on a Jamaican beach in a couple of months.

Sincerely (or not),

Cameron/Olivia

Cameron/Olivia (which is correct?):
I say go for it. I've learned, unfortunately, that keeping Joey on a string is a losing venture. *sigh* If only I'd had a few flowy linens to cast off when we went out for cheeseburgers. But you can't dwell on the past; not when you can spend a majority of your time putting off the future. So crank up those karaoke tapes and go on that water diet. By the way, I found a bunch of new age CDs in my collection that Joey lent me. Are they yours?

Dear Dorothy:
Go impale yourself.

Kevin:
Hey, what gives?!! I thought we were friends! You know, you just haven't been yourself in a long, long time. Write back when you're a little less moody.

FOC Dorothy concludes: "Next week, I promise to get to many more letters. Right now, it's time for Roger's feeding and...that's odd -- he's not in his room. Hey...Where are my gold lame panties? I just left them right here. Roger? Roger! *grrrrr* Javier, have you seen my gold lame panties? What's that? No, but you'd like to? Awwww...That's kind of sweet. Oh, you don't have to take your shirt off. It's hot? It doesn't feel hot to me. Well, now it does..."
