Here at FOC Dorothy Unlimited, we in the PR department understand that our girl could use a little image-building. During her relatively brief stay in Llanview (some would say not long enough), Dorothy Hayes demonstrated her saintly side and her bitchy side, her giddiness and her whininess, her awkward attraction to Joey Buchanan and her developed dislike of Kelly Cramer. But through it all, she nevertheless -- no matter what the circumstances -- managed to maintain the one quality branding her a Hayes: knowitallness. Yes, friends and fellow RATSAfarians, we all must admit that from the first time Kelly called Dorothy's hand, demanding, "Will you give them [Mel and Dorian] some credit?!! Or do you just know everything?!!," there would be no way in heck any of us would be able to avoid the Hayes-y philosophical, dime-store psychology of Dorothy (Miss Know-It-All to the four of us who actually liked her).

Given that we, the image-makers of FOC Dorothy Unlimited, are willing to admit our girl was about as popular as moldy bread with the OLTL crowd, we also wish to remind even her detractors that while she wasn't the hippest new character on the block, she was no WoodNymph, either. Our feeling, at FOC Dorothy Unlimited, is that Our Miss Hayes just wasn't properly scripted; she was the proverbial bee in the writers' bonnets because they just didn't know what the #*@% to do with her.

We, the hard-working drones of FOC Dorothy Unlimited, admired greatly "Ask Tante," the primo OLTL advice column for Llanviewites, and figured since our homegirl knows *soooooo* much about... gosh, well, just any and every old thing, we could persuade her to at least keep in touch with her old friends, neighbors, enemies and dayplayer/walk-ons back in Llanview. And boy, were we lucky! FOC Dorothy herself told us she'd love to help others since that's her preferred line of soap opera "work" and as long as her brother Roger didn't go catapulting down any more black diamonds, she'd be plenty free to impart some obviously much-needed advice to all the good folks back in The City Somewhere Real Close To The City Of Brotherly Love And/Or Pine Valley, Whichever Is Least Furthest Away On The Rand-McNally Atlas.
